Gatherwell Art Retreats
It is one thing to take a vacation but to experience a 10 day art retreat at Perigord Retreats in Gourdon is on a whole other level of incredible. As a painter, I love being inspired by experiences and memories, they offer rich fodder for creative living and expression. As an educator, I love to help beautiful humans learn to move through the world more creatively tapped in. Pairing these two loves together create the perfect recipe for travel and creativity.
This 9 night and 10 day retreat is located in Gourdon, France, which is in the Perigord/Dordogne region of Southwest France. We fly into Paris and take a train to Gourdon where we will be transported to our villa. Gatherwell Retreats are designed to combine teaching how to tap into life experiences while we use our creative thinking skills to gather visual inspiration.
During our time in Dordogne you will….
Take daily excursions and visit medieval villages in the Dordogne/Lot Region
Enjoy breakfast, picnic lunches, and dinners created with delicious fresh, French Cuisine
Learn Creative Thinking Strategies to see and process the daily experiences through paint
Learn how to create scenic, memorable watercolor paintings based on the colors of France
Use photography to build a reference photo set for expression
Create a journal for daily writing and painting experiences
Collaborate on a children’s book about Bophisella LaRue and illustrate a page in the book
Build new friendships and experiences with other creatives in our group
Learn how the history of this region and its sites altered the course of art history
Shop at artisan studios, handmade clothing stores, and traditional French markets in several towns
Shop for vintage goods and antiques
Attend an end of retreat art show and dinner for a wonderful wrap up!

Flights to Paris and train tickets to and from Gourdon are not included in price. We do book train tickets as a group and travel together from Paris.
Gatherwell France is by application only. Spouses are welcome but they do pay the same retreat price. Spots are limited so if you are interested in attending, please reach out here and we will schedule a meeting!
